Susanna Updegraff was born circa 1806 at Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of George Updegraff and Elizabeth [—?—]. Susanna Updegraff married Peter Pence, age 26, son of John Pence and Sarah [—?—], on Thursday, 2 December 1830 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend John Hays Grier.¹ Susanna Updegraff died on 12 April 1857.¹ She was buried in the Crane Cemetery, located in Lomax, Henderson County, Illinois.¹
