George Stabler was born on 30 April 1842 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Johann Ulrich Stäbler and Anna Kehrer. George Stabler married, at age 24, Elizabeth Ulmer, age 20, daughter of Isaac L. Ulmer and Salome Shafer, on Friday, 1 March 1867. George Stabler died on 18 June 1914 at Fairfield Center, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 72 years, 1 month and 19 days. He was buried in the Fairfield Cemetery, located in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
