     Mary Kiess was born in 1820 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of John Kiess and Elizabeth Seamiller.1 Mary Kiess married Jacob Koch, son of George Koch and Barbara Sweeley, circa 1841.2 Mary Kiess died in 1874 at Whetstone Township, Crawford County, Ohio, at age 54 years.3,1 She was buried in row 7, stone 27A, in the Salem Cemetery, located in North Robinson, Crawford County, Ohio.1
