Mary Barbara Koch was born on 6 September 1853 at Whetstone Township, Crawford County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Koch and Mary Kiess.1 Mary Barbara Koch first married Jacob Neff, son of Gottlob Neff and Rosina Mutschler, circa 1872.1 Mary Barbara Koch married a second time Joseph B. Wagner, son of John Frederick Wagner and Mary Ann Neff, in 1877 at Crawford County, Ohio.1 Mary Barbara Koch died on 28 September 1932 at age 79 years and 22 days.1 She was buried in the Salem Cemetery, located in North Robinson, Crawford County, Ohio.1
She was widowed at age 21 by the death of Jacob on 19 July 1875.1
