Jacob Heim was born on 20 March 1806 at Möhringen, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 He was the son of Jacob Heim and Christina Gohl. Jacob Heim married, at age 25, Regina Rachael Steiger, age 18, daughter of Leonhard Staiger and Anna Margaretha [—?—], on Tuesday, 31 May 1831.2 Jacob Heim died on 4 February 1885 at Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 10 months and 15 days. Year of of death could be 1855.1 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

The one used for this record is currently in the possession of Frederick and Zella Stabler. The Blooming Grove Historical Socitey also has one on display at their musuem. The beginning reads, 'With approximately 20 family trees of families who largely live in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania and who still have living parents at the turn of the century, mostly from Mühringen and Eßlingen in Würtemberg, and who have moved here.'.'.'.'

Jacob Heim immigrated to what is now Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, in the year 1817. He was married to Regina Steiger who born in this township in 1812; this important event took place May 31, 1831, and to this union were born ten children. After his marriage Mr. Heim removed to his father-in-law's farm, where he resided until his death in the seventy-fifth year of his age. He was a devout member of the Dunkard Church, and a stanch supporter of the Democratic Party. He was Farmer and Weaver.
