Daniel Ulmer was born on 20 May 1854 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Isaac L. Ulmer and Salome Shafer. Daniel Ulmer married, at age 23, Catherine Kiess, age 22, daughter of John Kiess and Mary Marquardt, on Thursday, 22 November 1877.3,1 Daniel Ulmer died on 26 April 1931 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 76 years, 11 months and 6 days.2 He was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4
