Cora Catherine Brucklacher was born on 29 November 1910 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,1,2 She was the daughter of Norman Edward Brucklacher and Catherine Jane Frey.1 Cora Catherine Brucklacher married, at age 21, Carl Edwin Kiess, age 23, son of Charles Franklin Kiess and Salome Anne Shafer, on Monday, 30 November 1931.3,1 Cora Catherine Brucklacher died on 14 June 2004 at Avis, Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania, at age 93 years, 6 months and 16 days.1,2 She was buried on 18 June 2004 in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Wayne Gary Stebbins and Reverend Phil Meanor.1

Cora C. Kiess, 93, of Avis, and formerly of Hepburn Twp., died Monday, June 14, 2004, at her residence. Born Nov. 29, 1910, in Cogan Station, she was a daughter of Norman and Catherine Frey Brucklacher.
Cora retired from Trimtex and was a member of the Pine Run United Methodist Church and the Hepburn Twp. Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris A. (Dave) Jarrett, with whom she resided; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Kiess; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Kiess; a son, F. Edwin Kiess; a great-grandson, Jason Rogers; a brother, John Brucklacher; and a sister, Mary Dunkleberger.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Phil Meanor, her pastor, and the Rev. Wayne G. Stebbins Sr. officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Blooming Grove Cemetery.
