     Ferns Edwin Kiess was born on 4 March 1933 at Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Carl Edwin Kiess and Cora Catherine Brucklacher.1 Ferns Edwin Kiess married, at age 18, Dorothy Louise Ludwig, daughter of Harris Monroe Ludwig and Frances Emmaline Hakes, on Saturday, 7 April 1951.1 Ferns Edwin Kiess died on 15 May 1986 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 53 years, 2 months and 11 days.2 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Ferns Edwin was listed in the obituary of Cora Catherine Brucklacher, on 16 June 2004 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her deceased son.1
