Charles Franklin Kiess married, at age 26, Salome Anne Shafer, age 22, daughter of Frederick Schäffer and Dorothea Heim, on Thursday, 15 December 1892.1 Charles Franklin Kiess died on 22 January 1911 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 44 years, 3 months and 6 days.2 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
