Martha Alice Bidelspacher was born on 12 March 1872 at Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Christian Jacob Bidelspacher and Catharina Waltz. Martha Alice Bidelspacher married, at age 18, William Frederick Shafer, age 22, son of Johann Frederick Schäfer and Elisabeth Heim, on Thursday, 8 January 1891.2 Martha Alice Bidelspacher died on 17 June 1948 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 76 years, 3 months and 5 days. She was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
