     Daniel Getz was born on 26 February 1834 at Germany.1 He married Katharina Kiess, daughter of Wilhelm Kiess and Dorothea Waltz, in 1861.2 Daniel Getz died on 3 January 1907 at age 72 years, 10 months and 8 days.1 He was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     He emigrated in 1853 from Germany. He appeared on the census of 21 August 1860 in the household of Isaac L. Ulmer and Salome Shafer at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Daniel Getz and Katharina Kiess appeared on the census of 31 August 1870 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Daniel Getz and Katharina Kiess appeared on the census of 17 June 1880 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
