     Mary Amanda Getz was born in January 1862 at Salladasburg, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Daniel Getz and Katharina Kiess.2 Mary Amanda Getz married, at age 22, John Frederick Wurster, age 26, son of Johannes Wurster and Catherine Pfeiffer, on Monday, 3 March 1884.1,3 Mary Amanda Getz died on 27 August 1939 at age 77 years and 7 months.1 She was buried in the Saint John's Chapel Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     She appeared on the census of 31 August 1870 in the household of Daniel Getz and Katharina Kiess at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Mary Amanda Getz appeared on the census of 17 June 1880 in the household of Daniel Getz and Katharina Kiess at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
