     Josephine Casselberry Bennett was born on 4 June 1906 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,2,5 She was the daughter of George Washington Bennett and Loretta Carrie Casselberry.6 Josephine Casselberry Bennett married, at age 23, Elmer Ellsworth Waltz, age 29, son of Harry Edward Waltz and C. Jenny Waltz, on Friday, 27 September 1929 at Presbyterian Church, New Castle, Clearfield or Schuylkill (?) County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Charles Christian Tevis.3 Josephine Casselberry Bennett died on 15 May 1990 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 83 years, 11 months and 11 days.4,2,5 She was buried on 18 May 1990 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4

MISS JOSEPHINE BENNETT BRIDE OF ELMER E. WALTZ

A wedding of interest to Williamsport people occurred Tuesday September 27, at the Foster Memorial Presbyterian church, Youngstown, Ohio, when Miss Josephine Casselberry Bennett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bennett, of Williamsport R. D. 2, became the bride of Elmer Ellsworth Waltz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Waltz, also of Williamsport, R. D. 2.

They were united in marriage by the Rev. Charles C. Tevis, brother-in-law of the bride. They were unattended and after a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Charles C. Tens they left for the south where they will visit several places of interest.

They will be at home to their friends after October 8 at their home on Williamsport R. D. 2. She was employed at Bush and Bull Dry Goods. She appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 in the household of George Washington Bennett and Loretta Carrie Casselberry at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1938, Josephine Casselberry Bennett and Elmer Ellsworth Waltz lived in Williamsport RD 2, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7 The anniversary announcement for Josephine Casselberry Bennett and Elmer Ellsworth Waltz was published on 27 September 1964 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     MR., MRS. WALTZ OBSERVE 35TH ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Waltz, Williamsport RD 2, are observing their 35th wedding anniversary today. They were married in a Presbyterian Church in New Castle by Mrs. Waltz brother-in-law, the Rev. Charles C. Tevis.

Mrs. Waltz is the former Josephine C. Bennett. She and her husband have lived at the farm where they now reside since the time of their marriage. Mr. Waltz, a member of the Dairymen's league, is engaged in farming.

They have three daughters and two sons: Beverly M. and Mary L., at home; Mrs. David Short, Chargin Falls, Ohio; Clair E., Cogan Station RD 2 and Harold E., Williamsport RD 2. They have two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Waltz are members of Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run. Interestingly, the church was built on property that belonged at one time to Joseph Bennett, Mrs. Waltz grandfather.3
As of 1985, Josephine Casselberry Bennett and Elmer Ellsworth Waltz lived at Williamsport RD 5, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1

     Josephine Casselberry Bennett was listed in Kathryn Grace Waltz's obituary in September 1985 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as their mother.1
