     John Hammond Foresman was born on 2 June 1871.1 He was the son of Seth Thomas Foresman and Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff.2 John Hammond Foresman married, at age 31, Julia Emery, age 30, daughter of John Beecher Emery and Helen A. Otto, on Tuesday, 17 February 1903.3 John Hammond Foresman died on 27 June 1963 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years and 25 days.1
