     Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff was born on 8 March 1842.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Updegraff and Delila Fessler.1,3 Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff married, at age 20, Seth Thomas Foresman, age 24, son of David Watson Foresman and Margaret Simmons McCormick, on Tuesday, 9 December 1862.1 Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff died on 7 April 1935 at age 93 years and 30 days.2 She was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff was also known as Sallie.1 She appeared on the census of 28 August 1850 in the household of Samuel Updegraff and Delila Fessler at Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff appeared on the census of 1 August 1860 in the household of Samuel Updegraff and Jane Longan at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Sarah Elizabeth Updegraff and Seth Thomas Foresman appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Williamsport, 5th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
