Martha Emaline Owens married, at age 18, James Richard Wheeler, age 25, son of Joshua Wheeler and Sarah A. VanBebber, on Thursday, 24 February 1848 at Macoupin County, Illinois.¹ Martha Emaline Owens died on 5 July 1886 at Adams Township, Gage County, Nebraska, at age 56 years, 6 months and 19 days.¹
