James Stonewall Wheeler was born on 13 January 1862 at Palmyra, Macoupin County, Illinois.1 He was the son of James Richard Wheeler and Martha Emaline Owens.1 James Stonewall Wheeler married, at age 26, Claudia Evelyn Ross, age 22 on Thursday, 22 March 1888 at Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska. James Stonewall Wheeler died on 13 February 1946 at Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico, at age 84 years and 1 month.1 He was buried in the South Park Cemetery, located in Chaves County, New Mexico.
