George Kiess married Christina Ann Wurster, daughter of Johann George Wurster and Barbara Dolker, circa 1844. George Kiess married Christina Gross, daughter of Joseph Gross and Christina Ulmer, circa 1880.1 George Kiess died on 4 August 1899 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 77 years, 3 months and 11 days.1 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
