     Christina Gross was born in 1851 at Quaker Hill, Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Gross and Christina Ulmer. Christina Gross married George Kiess, son of Johann George Kiess and Dorothea Ulmer, circa 1880.1 Christina Gross died in 1940 at age 89 years.1 She has also been reported to have died 1891.
