Luce married, at age 37, Alma Valeria Updegraff, age 27, daughter of Thomas Updegraff and Rebecca Raiguel, on Thursday, 11 November 1886 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Prosper J. Luce died on 20 February 1904 at age 55 years and 3 days.1
