Thomas Updegraff

     Thomas Updegraff was born on 17 May 1802 at Long Reach, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Daniel Updegraff and Catharine Palmer. Thomas Updegraff married, at age 41, Rebecca Raiguel, age 18, daughter of Abraham Raiguel and Anna Mary Reichert, on Tuesday, 6 June 1843 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Thomas Updegraff died on 22 December 1873 at age 71 years, 7 months and 5 days.1 He was buried on 27 December 1873 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     Thomas left a will - Will Book #4, page 5 - Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, made 9 January 1870 and proved 2 January 1874. Rebecca's estate settlement can be found in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania dated 7 June 1890 with Letters of Adminastration to D. S. Updegraff.3 He and Rebecca Raiguel appeared on the census of 1850 at Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Thomas Updegraff was a farmer in 1860.
