Clarence Ezra Updegraff

     Clarence Ezra Updegraff was born on 7 November 1886.1 He was the son of William Sylvester Updegraff and Annie E. Weaver. Clarence Ezra Updegraff was baptized, at age 2 months and 23 days, on Sunday, 30 January 1887.1 He married Blanche F. Leedy, daughter of Jacob VanBuren Leedy and Ida Diffenderfer, in 1908.2 Clarence Ezra Updegraff died on 28 August 1945 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years, 9 months and 21 days.1
     He bought a farm in LaTexo, Texas in 1909, where he became famous for introducing the Irish Potato.
