     Abraham G. Kiess was born in May 1841 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Abraham Kiess and Catharina Waltz. Abraham G. Kiess married Elizabeth C. Marquardt, daughter of Stephen Nickolas Marquardt and Rachel Kiess, circa 1870.1 Abraham G. Kiess died in 1905 at age 63 years. He was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
