     Clara Kiess was born in June 1872 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Abraham G. Kiess and Elizabeth C. Marquardt. Clara Kiess married William Wilson Newcomer, son of David Calvin Newcomer and Angeline Williamson, circa 1898.1 Clara Kiess died in 1937 at age 64 years. She was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
