George W. Waltz was born on 9 September 1848 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Gottleib Waltz and Catharina Hettner. George W. Waltz married Susan Hower, daughter of Christian Hauer and Catherine Kiess, circa 1871.2 George W. Waltz died on 3 August 1907 at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years, 10 months and 25 days.1 He was buried in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
