Catherine Kiess was born on 18 September 1825 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Johann George Kiess and Dorothea Ulmer. Catherine Kiess married Joseph Entz, son of John Entz and Catherine Götz, circa 1844.1 Catherine Kiess married Christian Hauer circa 1849.1 Catherine Kiess died on 15 August 1902 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 76 years, 10 months and 28 days.2 She was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
