Jonathan Waltz was born on 15 April 1841 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George W. Waltz and Dorothea Wolf. Jonathan Waltz married Rosanna Entz, daughter of Joseph Entz and Catherine Kiess, circa 1864.1 Jonathan Waltz died on 5 October 1909 at age 68 years, 5 months and 20 days. He was buried on 9 October 1909 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
