Charles W. Newcomer1

     Charles W. Newcomer was born on 20 September 1879 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of David Calvin Newcomer and Angeline Williamson.1 Charles W. Newcomer married, at age 22, Mary A. Ulmer, age 22, daughter of Daniel Ulmer and Catherine Kiess, on Thursday, 16 January 1902 at Danville Parsonage, Danville, Mahoning Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania.2 Charles W. Newcomer died on 1 May 1963 at age 83 years, 7 months and 11 days.3 He was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Newcomer, Linden, will quietly observe their 57th wedding anniversary on Thursday, January 15, 1959, at their home. The couple was married by the Rev. James Hower in the Danville parsonage.

Mrs. Newcomer is the former Mary Ulmer. Mr. Newcomer is a retired employee of the Lundy Lumber Company. They have three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Heinlen, of this city; Mrs. Theodore Dauler, of Linden and Mrs. Harold Springman of West Milton. There are six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was Lundy Lumber Co.
