     Asher Kiess was born on 20 November 1883 at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Andrew J. Kiess and Sarah Jane Kress. Asher Kiess married Robie Fiester, daughter of John Davis Fiester and Sarah Jane Cohick, circa 1899. Asher Kiess died on 11 November 1961 at age 77 years, 11 months and 22 days.3 He was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He and Robie Fiester Family Source.2 As of September 1957, Asher Kiess lived at Garden View, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4

     Asher Kiess the brother of Wilson Kiess was listed in his obituary in September 1957 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4

[S618] Wilson Kiess Was Leader in Scouting, undated clipping from an unidentified newspaper presumably from a local paper in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, September 1957, shows name as Asher Kiess, brother of Wilson Kiess. The original article was from a scrapbook of personal memorabilia compiled by Fred R. Dochter (1895-1966) through out his life. His son has continued to add articles to these. Viewed at the home of Frederick Stabler, RD #3, Box 156 (now Jobs Run Road), Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania in September 1993, who borrowed them from the current owner, his son. Fred W. Dochter Jr., Salladasburg, Pennsylvania, USA.
