     Bessie Pepperman was born on 28 September 1894.2,1 She was the daughter of Charles S. Pepperman and Estella Smith. Bessie Pepperman married Raymond S. Kiess, son of Solomon Kiess and Lydia Waltz, circa 1912 at Quiggleville Evangelical United Brethren Church parsonage, Quiggleville, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend C. B. Snyder.2,3 Bessie Pepperman died on 6 October 1985 at age 91 years and 8 days.1 She was buried on 9 October 1985 in the Woodward Township Cemetery, located in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     The anniversary announcement for Bessie Pepperman and Raymond S. Kiess was published sometime in 21 December in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     Mr. and Mrs. Raymond S. Kiess, 821 Prospect Avenue, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. The couple was married at the parsonage of Quiggleville Evangelical United Brethren Church with Rev. C. B. Snyder officiating at the ceremony. They are members of the St. John's Evangelical United Brethren Church. Mr. Kiess is self employed as a carpenter. They are the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Reighnard Dugan, State College.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Bessie's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
