Nelson Stevens Updegraff was born on 27 December 1885.1 He was the son of Samuel Gibson Updegraff and Susan Estelle Stevens. Nelson Stevens Updegraff married, at age 23, Lauretta Mussina Grange, age 22, daughter of Joseph Reibsame Grange and Margaret E. Corder, on Monday, 1 November 1909 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. R. Baker.2 Nelson Stevens Updegraff died on 20 June 1973 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 87 years, 5 months and 24 days.1
