A. Harrison Metzger
M, (April 1890 - 1 March 1963)
A. Harrison Metzger was born in April 1890 at Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Aaron Metzger and Rebecca Jane Williamson. A. Harrison Metzger married Lulu M. Sheets, daughter of Samuel Sheets and Mary Amanda Waltz, circa 1914. A. Harrison Metzger died on 1 March 1963 at age 72 years and 11 months.2 He was buried on 4 March 1963 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
A. Harrison Metzger also went by the name of Harry. His obituary was published sometime in March 1963 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

A. Harrison Metzger, 72, of 683 1st Avenue, died suddenly Friday, March 1, 1963, at his home. A mail carrier for 40 years, he retired in 1955 from the Williamsport Post Office. He was a member of Heshbon Park Evangelical United Brethren Church, where he was a trustee, choir member, church school teacher, and lay leader.
He was a former president of District 15 of the Lycoming County Sabbath School Association, which last October awarded him for having served 50 consecutive years as a teacher or officer in the church school.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lulu Sheets, a son, Stanley S., at home, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Mitcheltree, of Garden View, Williamsport RD 2.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Knight Colonial funeral home, with the Rev. A. C. Paulhamus, former pastor of the church officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Henry Meyers, pastor of Central Baptist Church. Members of the board of trustees, John Knittle, Stanley Neff, Matthew Lundy, and George Shemory, will be honorary pall bearers. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.3
