Rosanna Kiess was born on 27 February 1828 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Johann George Kiess and Dorothea Ulmer. Rosanna Kiess married Frederick Marquardt, son of Nickolas Stephen Marquardt and Sophia Hartmeier, circa 1848.2 Rosanna Kiess died on 18 July 1913 at Dawson, Richardson County, Nebraska, at age 85 years, 4 months and 21 days.1 She was buried in the Heim Cemetery, located in Dawson, Richardson County, Nebraska.
She and Frederick Marquardt appeared on the census of 21 August 1860 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Rosanna Kiess and Frederick Marquardt appeared on the census of 31 August 1870 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Dawson, Nebraska in the fall of 1879.
She and Frederick Marquardt appeared on the census of 21 August 1860 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
