Sarah Spotts was born on 2 May 1875 at Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Peter Spotts and Sarah Mary Ulmer. Sarah Spotts married John Benjamin Schaeffer, son of Frederick Schäffer and Dorothea Heim, in 1896.1 Sarah Spotts married Christian Raker. Sarah Spotts died in 1944 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 68 years.
