John Benjamin Schaeffer married Cora Margaret Bidelspacher, daughter of Jacob Bidelspacher and Sophia Ulmer, in 1890.2 John Benjamin Schaeffer married Sarah Spotts, daughter of Peter Spotts and Sarah Mary Ulmer, in 1896.2 John Benjamin Schaeffer died on 31 October 1899 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 31 years, 6 months and 30 days.2 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
