     James A. Wiggins was born in July 1857 at Illinois. He married, at age 22, Martha A. Wheeler, age 19, daughter of James Richard Wheeler and Martha Emaline Owens, on Thursday, 21 August 1879 at Macoupin County, Illinois. James A. Wiggins died on 3 August 1937 at age 80 years and 1 month.
     He and Martha A. Wheeler appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 at Hanover Township, Gage County, Nebraska.
