Nancy Jane Miller was born on 6 January 1862 at Hillisburg, Clinton County, Indiana.1 She married, at age 19, Johann Heinrich Kettenring, age 41, son of Heinrich Kettenring and Agnes Stäbler, on Thursday, 3 February 1881 at Cawker City, Mitchell County, Kansas.1 Nancy Jane Miller died on 23 December 1936 at Phillips, Hamilton County, Nebraska, at age 74 years, 11 months and 17 days.1 She was buried on 26 December 1936 in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, located in Jewell County, Kansas.1
