     Leslie Albert Kettenring was born on 20 March 1897 at Erving Township, Jewell County, Kansas.1 He was the son of Johann Heinrich Kettenring and Nancy Jane Miller. Leslie Albert Kettenring died on 1 December 1919 at Phillips, Hamilton County, Nebraska, at age 22 years, 8 months and 11 days.1 He was buried in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, located in Jewell County, Kansas.1
     He and Wesley Robert Kettenring were twins.
