Moses Yoakum was born on 21 December 1807 at Tennessee.1 He was the son of Isaac Yoakum and Mary Davis. Moses Yoakum married, at age 21, Elizabeth Grimes, age 18, daughter of George Grimes and Nancy Carlock, on Thursday, 25 December 1828.1 Moses Yoakum died on 18 October 1880 at Missouri at age 72 years, 9 months and 27 days.1 He was buried in the Knoxville Cemetery, located in Knoxville Township, Ray County, Missouri.
