Maria Emilie Rhote was born in 1856. She was the daughter of John Von Roth and Sarah Ann Miller. Maria Emilie Rhote married Burrows T. Kress, age 23, son of Hiram Kress and Sarah Smith, on Thursday, 21 June 1877 by the Reverend H. Wilson. Maria Emilie Rhote died in 1881 at age 25 years. She was buried in the Salladasburg Cemetery, located in Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
