Margaret Ann Updegrove was born on 1 June 1921.1 She was the daughter of Shelby Glenn Updegrove and Minnie Mae Smith.2 Margaret Ann Updegrove married, at age 18, Cleo B. Briggs, age 20 on Saturday, 9 December 1939.3,4 Margaret Ann Updegrove died on 26 June 2007 at age 86 years and 25 days.1

Her obituary stated:
DAVENPORT - Margaret Ann (Updegrove) Briggs, 86, of Davenport died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Van Wert. Memorials may be made to the Davenport Lutheran Home. Runge Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with final arrangements.
Margaret was born June 1, 1921, in Van Wert, the daughter of Glenn and Minnie (Smith) Updegrove.
She was united in marriage to Cleo B. Briggs on December 9, 1939.
Prior to her retirement she was a geriatrics nurse at the Fort Wayne, Indiana Lutheran Home.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport. Margaret enjoyed quilting and camping.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Donald Briggs, Akron, Ohio, David Briggs, St. Augustine, Fla., Kathleen Smith, Spring Hill, Tenn., Nancy Dellinger, Hillard, Ohio, Timothy Briggs, Beverly Hills, Calif., and Sally Haugen, Davenport; She was a loving grandmother with 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years, Cleo, three brothers, two sisters, and a great-grandchild.4 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Margaret as Davenport, Scott County, Iowa.1
