     Walter Koch Hartman was born on 23 February 1920 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Raymond M. Hartman and Mabel Marie Koch. Walter Koch Hartman married, at age 30, Margaret Shafer, daughter of John Harold Shafer and Mildred Viola Kyle, on Saturday, 17 June 1950.1 Walter Koch Hartman died on 17 September 1978 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years, 6 months and 25 days.2 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
