     Adolphus Updegraff was born on 16 February 1840 at Shelby County, Indiana.1 He was the son of Derrick Updegraff and Orpha Ann Stubbs. Adolphus Updegraff died on 3 December 1842 at age 2 years, 9 months and 17 days.1 He was buried in the Old Union Methodist Cemetery, located in Shelby County, Indiana.
