     George Updegraff was born in November 1838 at Shelby County, Indiana.1 He was the son of Derrick Updegraff and Orpha Ann Stubbs. George Updegraff died on 8 August 1942 at age 103 years and 9 months.1 He was buried in the Old Union Methodist Cemetery, located in Shelby County, Indiana.
