Norma Louise Goodrich

Norma Louise Goodrich was born on 22 October 1924 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of James L. Goodrich and Zoe Call. Norma Louise Goodrich married, at age 21, Ernest Clifford Kinley, age 20, son of William Boyd Kinley and Rachel Dora Waltz, on Thursday, 22 November 1945 at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Norma Louise Goodrich died on 8 October 2016 at age 91 years, 11 months and 16 days.
Her obituary was published sometime in October 2016 on the website for Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Norma L. Kinley, 91, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1924, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Zoe (Call) Goodrich. Norma married Ernest C. Kinley on Nov. 22, 1945, and together they shared 57 years of marriage until his death on Dec. 12, 2002.
Norma was the oldest member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Linden, where she was very involved over the course of her lifetime. She served as a Sunday school teacher, helped with the prayer chain, and the Ladies Society Willing Hearts and Hands, which was always special to her. She loved bowling and played in many different leagues in the area. She enjoyed sewing and coloring, but most of all her greatest passion was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah L. Monds (Charles F. Walizer), of Williamsport; a son, Douglas C. (Charlene) Kinley, of Cogan Station; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Stroble, of Muncy and Gloria (James) Espositio, of Williamsport.
In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Kinley; a son-in-law, Wayne F. Monds; and a daughter-in-law, Christine (O'Brien) Kinley.
A funeral service to honor the life of Norma will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Dr. S. David Simon, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Sanders.
