     Grace P. Metzger was born on 6 May 1912 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Charles W. Metzger and Catherine Elizabeth Waltz. Grace P. Metzger married, at age 19, Samuel C. Bower, age 25, son of George J. Bower and Laura E. Kinley, in July 1931.2 Grace P. Metzger died on 25 October 1992 at age 80 years, 5 months and 19 days.1 She was buried on 27 October 1992 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
