     George J. Bower was born on 27 August 1872.2 He was the son of Christian Bower and Catherine Keiser. George J. Bower married, at age 29, Laura E. Kinley, daughter of Samuel L. Kinley and Catherine R. Frey, on Tuesday, 27 August 1901.3,2,1 George J. Bower died on 22 February 1943 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years, 5 months and 26 days.2,4 He was buried in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     George J. Bower was also known as George Bauer.
