     Lewis E. Lockcuff was born on 30 July 1930 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,4 He was the son of William Jonathan Lockcuff and Grace Kittie Young.3 Lewis E. Lockcuff married Rhea A. Bates, daughter of Phillip W. Bates and Marjorie L. Wright, in 1962.5 Lewis E. Lockcuff died on 22 May 2004 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 73 years, 9 months and 22 days.3,4 He was buried on 25 May 2004 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Phil Meanor.3
     Lewis E. Lockcuff the brother of Sylvia C. Lockcuff was listed in her obituary on 1 February 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 As of April 2004, Lewis E. Lockcuff and Rhea A. Bates lived at 483 Northway Road Extension, Linden, Pennsylvania.3 His obituary was published on 23 May 2004 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Lewis E. Lockcuff, 73, of 483 Northway Road Extension, Linden, died at his home on Saturday, May 22, 2004.

     Born July 30, 1930, in Linden, he was a son of William L. and Grace Young Lockcuff.

     Lewis was an Army veteran and a member of the VFW in Jersey Shore. He retired from Bethlehem Steel with 30 years of service. He was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church and Lone Walnut Hunting Club. He enjoyed gardening.

     Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Rhea Bates; three step-children, Dolly Drabic, Carol Jean Kuntz and Harry J. Miller Jr; nine step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews.

     Lewis was preceded in death by five brothers, Dallas, Jim, Paul, William and Richard Lockcuff; four sisters, Merna Marshall, Edith Bryan, Grace Goodbrod and Sylvia Belton; and a step-grandson.

     Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Phil Meanor officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders’ from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.3
