George Updegraff

M, (1828 - 3 August 1893)
     George Updegraff was born in 1828. He was the son of Derrick Updegraff and Ann Kinley. George Updegraff married Deborah Jane Paulhamus, age 17, daughter of John Polhemius and Rebecca Marshall, on Monday, 1 December 1851 at Elmira, Chemung County, New York.1 George Updegraff died on 3 August 1893 at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 65 years. He was buried in lot 159, grave 14, in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, his tombstone indicates Company B, 205th Regiment, regestered as a Private.
     He was a soldier during the Civil War, he joined Company B, 207th Regiment, Indiana as a Private on 30 August 1864 and was discharged on 19 July 1865. According to the Board of Relief George also served in Company G, Colonel Campbell's Artillery Unit. As of circa 1875, George Updegraff lived at Dougherty's Run, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
