     Isabella Updegraff was born on 16 October 1847 at Shelby County, Indiana.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Updegraff and Eliza Jane Miller. Isabella Updegraff died on 25 June 1888 at Nodaway County, Missouri, at age 40 years, 8 months and 9 days.1
     She was known as 'Belle' to her family. She never married.
